within Metropolitan Grand Chapter, under the Constitution of the Supreme Grand Chapter of England.

Capitolo Italia 2687 was founded by 21 Italian Masons living and working in London.

It was Consecrated at the Cafe Monico in London on the 12th January 1912.

Supreme Grand Chapter gave Capitolo Italia the warrant to work in Italian, the only Chapter to do so in the United Kingdom.

107 years later we maintain the same tradition.

Our Ritual Book is still in Italian and has been updated several times, the latest edition having been revised and printed in 2008.

Capitolo Italia enjoys close connections with Loggia Italia that meets five time a year at Freemasons’ Hall and Mark Italia that meets twice a year at Mark Masons' Hall both of which have a special dispensation to work the English Ritual in Italian.

Many members of Capitolo Italia are in fact also members of Italia Lodge and Mark Lodge.

All three enjoy a large membership and a long waiting list of future members.
